Rector
Fr. Andrew was called to serve as Rector at Church of the Redeemer in 2023, having previously served Anglican parishes in Pittsburgh and Butler, Pennsylvania, and the Los Angeles area of California. He studied Philosophy and Psychology in college, and earned his M.Div. at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA with an emphasis in Worship, Theology, and the Arts. Amidst all Andrew’s interests and responsibilities at Redeemer, the Gospel is his sole priority and he most enjoys leading our community in worship.
At work or at play, Andrew is having the most fun when he’s doing it alongside the love of his life, Christina. He loves the outdoors, obscure board games with friends, and making noise with electric guitars. His bookshelves are filled mostly with philosophical treatises and graphic novels.
Associate Rector
Fr. Kenny served at Redeemer on our pastoral staff in our beginning years and was church planter and founding pastor of St. John’s Anglican Church in Franklin, TN before returning to Redeemer in 2016. He completed his M.Div. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago in 1995 with a concentration in Church History. Along with assisting in worship and preaching, he loves to help others understand the Gospel more deeply and discover their passion and vocation.
He and Laura, his wife of 42 years, enjoy spending time with their four adult children and 7 grandchildren. He loves the outdoors and is an avid birder. He is an enthusiastic reader, primarily theology, spirituality, fiction, and creative non-fiction. He enjoys good TV and movies, and especially loves watching Korean dramas and films.
Parish Deacon
Kathleen is one of the original members of Church of Redeemer, along with her husband, Bill, and their son, Jack. Kathy grew up in the Church of Christ, but in the 1980s God called her and Bill into the Anglican world. In the earliest days of Redeemer, Kathy served as a lector and lay eucharistic minister and as a member of the Altar Guild. Ordained as a Deacon at Redeemer in 2022, she now leads our Altar Guild, offers pastoral care particularly to the homebound, and coordinates our Sunday Prayer Ministry.
Kathleen enjoys playing pickleball, playing Bible trivia, and working on her farm in Eagleville.
Music Worship Pastor
Seasoned by years of church based music ministry in the Midwest, student ministry overseas, and being on staff at Redeemer since 2015, Patrick – our worship music pastor – and his wife, Cathy, now call Nashville home. They have four adult children.
With hymns and songs based on the lectionary readings, Redeemer’s music worship ministry is rooted in uniting our whole congregation in sung expressions of praise and prayer. Building on the ancient/future, multigenerational, eclectic/contemplative musical style developed at Redeemer through the years, Patrick leads music teams that are always open to those in our midst with compatible abilities and hearts for worship.
Patrick also leads our tech ministry, and our daily morning prayer call.
Music Pastor
Patrick has led the music ministry at Redeemer since 2015. Prior to that, he served churches in Indiana, international students through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and student ministries in Russia. Patrick studied piano and Biblical studies at Fort Wayne Bible College and languages at the International Institute of Education and Brasshouse Language Centre. At Redeemer, Patrick loves collaborating with other musicians and attending carefully to the intersection of music, prayer, and liturgy in our services.
Elsewhere, he often can be found riding a bike, flying a kite, looking at clouds, learning to juggle, reading a book, or playing various musical instruments. Patrick is husband to Cathy, father to four married adults, and grandfather to seven amazing children.
Pastoral Associate
Ashley came to Redeemer in January of 2021 after 40 years in the music industry. Originally from Knoxville, Ashley has lived in middle Tennessee since 1984.
